The Power to Innovate

Environment

We take the environmental impact of our operations very seriously.

From a manufacturing perspective, we meet the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, (RoHS) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. We use vacuum formed bubble trays for our transformers to eliminate polystyrene protection that is hard to recycle and environmentally unfriendly as this mostly ends up in landfills. We also strive to exceed any requirements and are moving to zero ‘Volatile Organic Compound’ (VOC) varnishes that do not contain harmful solvents that’s safer for our staff, our customers and the environment.

We also comply with the "Responsible Materials Initiative" (RMI) founded in 2008 by members of the Responsible Business Alliance and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative. This conflict minerals initiative has grown into one of the most utilized and respected resources for companies from a range of industries addressing responsible mineral sourcing issues in their supply chains. The RMI’s work includes the Conflict-Free Smelter Program and Conflict Minerals Reporting through the use of an established template which facilitates the transfer of information through the supply chain regarding mineral country of origin and smelters and refiners being utilised.

In addition, we are committed to the elimination of ‘single-use plastic’ (SUP) where possible in the supply chain.
